Who Is This For?
Forex traders who want to quickly identify which currencies are trending strongest and weakest — ideal for finding high-probability pair selections before diving into chart analysis.
What is Currency Strength?
Currency strength measures how a single currency is performing against all other major currencies. Instead of looking at one pair in isolation, it aggregates performance across every pair that currency appears in — giving you a holistic view of momentum.
How It's Calculated
We fetch live prices for all 28 major forex pairs. For each currency, we average its performance across every pair it appears in. The result is normalized to a 0-10 scale where 10 is the strongest currency and 0 is the weakest.
How to Use This Tool
- Step 1: Select your time period — 1 Day for intraday momentum, 1 Week for swing trading, or 1 Month for position trading.
- Step 2: Identify the strongest and weakest currencies from the bar chart.
- Step 3: Use the suggested pair (strongest vs weakest) as your starting point for chart analysis.
Trading with Strength/Weakness
The ideal trade pairs the strongest currency against the weakest. This gives you the highest momentum alignment — you're buying what's being bought and selling what's being sold. Avoid trading pairs where both currencies are near the middle of the strength ranking, as there's no clear directional edge.
Assumptions & Edge Cases
- Strength is relative — a score of 5 means average, not neutral.
